Introduction |
United Lands City |
|
|
Background: |
United Lands City, is a privately owned project
currently underdevelopment.
The
self-governed and self-contained corporate society, will be formed by a combination of various plots of lands; each land division
will represent a different geographic area.
As well a world class tourist attraction, the
land is designed to become a unique humanitarian place in the world. A place where the youth of the world specially those
from third world nations will benefit from the United Lands student grant as part of its international development program.
Students will be entitled to a full time education,
as well as being submitted to an intensive professional training. A part time job will be provided to give each student the
opportunity to save enough to be able to start a new life, at the end of the education period; when all graduates will leave
the city to give way to the new group of students.

Economy
- overview: |
A private corporate society economy, where the
tourism industry aims to be the number one foreign exchange earner. It is expected to become a popular holiday resort, and
attract tourists to its casino, entertainment industry environment and pleasant climate. For 2005, the developer (government)
is planning a major construction of a harbor in order to accommodate cruise ships.
The city will have no income tax, so it will be a tax haven both for individuals who intend to establish residence
and foreign companies intending to set up businesses and offices in the land. The government will retain monopolies in all
sectors, such the telephone network, the postal service, banking, publishing, fashion, entertainment, telecommunications,
electronics, food processing, agriculture, marine products and fishery. Living standards aims to be high, roughly comparable
to those in prosperous local metropolitan areas. The economy is expected to grow and become one of the largest and most
technologically advanced in the world, due to its investments overseas. A market-oriented economy where private individuals
in charge of United Lands business firms around the world will make most of the decisions, and United Lands City Government
buying needed goods and services predominantly in the private marketplace.
